Cookies
This websites uses cookies to collect information about you. If you use our websites, then you accept that we can use the cookies as set out below.

a. What are cookies and why do we use them?
Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer by this website and which collect certain personal information about you.  Cookies enable us to tailor our service offering (including the websites) and to provide you with a better service.

b. What cookies do we use?
We use the following cookies:
i. Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website.  They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website.  They do not gather information about you that could be used for marketing purposes or remembering where you have been on the Internet.
ii.  Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to collect information about how you use our website, such as, how you move around our website and if you experience any errors. These cookies do not collect any information that could identify you; all of the information collected is anonymous and is only used to help us improve the way our website works, understand what interests our users and measure how effective our advertising is.
iii. Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalise our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences and improve your visit.
iv. Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. They are linked to services provided by third parties, such as “Like” and “Share” buttons. The third party provides these services in return for recognising that you have visited our website.

Generally, cookies which are strictly necessary for the operation of the website will expire when you leave the website. Other cookies may be more permanent or not expire unless you actively delete them.

Security
Whilst we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard the personal information that you provide to us, we accept no liability if communications are intercepted by third parties or incorrectly delivered or not delivered.  Where possible, we recommend transferring information directly to us using the functionality provided on the website instead of by email.
If we transfer your information to third parties we will take steps to ensure that such transfer and any on-going processing by such third parties is carried out securely and in accordance with applicable privacy law.

Your rights
You have the following rights:

i. The right to ask us to provide you with copies of personal information that we hold about you at any time, subject to a fee specified by law (currently £10);
ii. the right to ask us to update and correct any out-of-date or incorrect personal information that we hold about you free of charge; and
iii. the right to opt out of any marketing communications that we (or any third party to whom we have disclosed your personal information with your consent) may send you.

If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please contact us by email at equityexperts@gdpni.com.

More details about our cookies

1.  What is a cookie?

Most websites use cookies. A cookie is a small file consisting of letters and numbers that is placed on your computer or other device. Cookies enable our systems to recognize your device either for the duration of your visit or for repeat visits. When users visit the same website again, the browser sends cookies back to the website allowing the website to recognise the user and remember things like personalised details or preferences.

Among the things that cookies make possible are storing your preferences and generally improving your experience of a website. Cookies make the interaction between you and the website faster and easier. If a website doesn’t use cookies, it will think you are a new visitor every time you move to a new page on the site – for example, when you enter your login details and move to another page it won’t recognise you and it won’t be able to keep you logged in. Some websites also use cookies to enable them to target their advertising or marketing messages based, for example, on your location and/or browsing habits.

Cookies may be set by either the website you are visiting or by other websites who run content on the page you are viewing. Cookies set by other websites are known as "third party cookies".

2. Does GDP Equity Experts use cookies?

Yes, we do. Please read this cookie policy carefully to ensure that you fully understand how and why we use cookies and other technologies, such as pixels. If you use our services with your browser set to accept cookies, you consent to our use of cookies and the technologies as described in this cookie policy.

3. Do I have to agree to the use of cookies?

No. Some people don’t like the idea of a website storing information on their device, particularly when this information is stored and used by a third party without them knowing. Although this is generally quite harmless you may not, for example, want to see advertising that has been targeted to your interests. If you prefer, it is possible to block some or all cookies, or even to delete cookies that have already been set.

If you do not consent to our use of cookies or other technologies, you can modify your browser settings to reject cookies and delete cookies that have already been set. These settings are usually found in your web browser settings. Find out more about deleting and blocking cookies here.

As mentioned below, we may work with third-party advertising companies that collect and use information to deliver more relevant advertising across the Internet and when you are using our services. To learn more about this practice and your choices with regard to companies participating in industry self-regulation, visit http://www.aboutads.info.

4. Who places cookies when I use your website?

Many of the cookies placed when you use online services are “first party cookies”. These cookies are placed and read by GDP Equity Experrts directly.

A certain number of our partners also place “third party cookies” when you use our services. These specialist cookies are not set by us, but by other companies with our permission. For example, we use Google Analytics, which sets their own cookie to perform this service. We also use Squarespace website builder, which also sets cookies to help it better run its service.

We also use third party advertising networks to deliver targeted advertising across the Internet – these networks may have the capability to track your browsing across different sites.

Some cookies that have been set on our websites are not related to GDP Equity Experts or our partners. When you visit a page with content embedded from, for example, Facebook, these service providers may set their own cookies on your web browser. We do not control the use of these cookies and cannot access them due to the way that cookies work, as cookies can only be accessed by the party who originally set them. You should check the third party websites for more information about these cookies.

5. Why are cookies used on the GDP Equity Experts website?

Currently, we use cookies for the following purposes:

(a) Analytics – we use cookies to learn how you, and other users, use our website and how well our services perform. This allows us to identify errors, to learn how our services perform and to improve and develop our services over time.

(b) Marketing and Advertising – we may use cookies to track the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising campaigns and to show you GDP Equity Experts ads on other websites after you have visited our website. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.

If you have any questions about our use of cookies feel free to send us an email at equityexperts@gdpni.com or by post to GDP Equity Experts, GDP House 159 Durham Street Belfast, BT12 4GB, Northern Ireland.
